TRANSMEDIA RELAY
is an open-ended chain of artistic transformations through contrasting media, taking off from Bruno Latour's questioning of modernity.
Behind the scenes, Aimless Research Institute and GalleryGalleryINC are tweaking the knobs to push the experiment out of control, initiating collisions between contrasting practices and scanning the gallery space for desirable yet unpredictable emissions.

The diagrams from Bruno Latour's philosophical treatise We Have Never Been Modern (1991), reproduced by hand on the gallery walls for GallerygalleryINC's summer show, serve as graphical scores for improvising musicians, who respond to the diagrams, the gallery space and audience conversations, exploring the mediation between objects, spaces, and bodies

KLATCH is an experimental improv ensemble focused on fostering and supporting innovation in notation and performance expression. We are curious about the languages we use to convey and organise music, and what values they represent. We strive for an experimental practice of music-making that is more equal and accessible, and encourages collaboration between disparate artists and musicians.
Founded by trans musicians, we maintain a strong focus on works by trans, queer and BIPOC artists. We aim to collaborate and commission widely to build a strong, diverse artistic community around KLATSCH. We perform graphic scores, minimally notated & unnotated performance works, multimedia works, animated scores, text scores, sculptural scores, and more.
